Steve was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan and graduated from Jackson High School. After a few years of community college, he decided to chase a lifelong dream and attended film school at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida for two years. While in school, he began a blog and a YouTube channel where he reviewed movies called The Film Fan Reviews. After school, he moved back to Michigan and now writes for Disappointment Media with previous classmates from film school. His main goal in film criticism is to help people find the best movie for their time and money and share his love for the art form.
