Nate Adams is a professional, Michigan based, online and print critic for film, theatre, and television. A 2017 Theatre-Speech Communications graduate of Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI, Nate is humbled to be a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic with his reviews widely publicized and seen across national platforms (including, VICE, The Daily Mail, and Movietickets.com). Nate travels around the state reviewing local theatre productions in Southeastern, Michigan into Metro Detroit, including the coveted Broadway in Detroit series, and sporadically serves as a guest critic on FOX 2 Detroit’s own entertainment program “CriticLee Speaking” alongside host Lee Thomas and frequently appears on the Oakland County’s MEGACAST.

In addition to his reviews, Nate has done red-carpet interviews with Bo Burnham, Will Poulter, Flo Rida, John Boyega, Adam Sandler, and Bruce Campbell. Nate also provides coverage for the Cinetopia Film Festival in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in Toronto, Canada, and the Sundance Film Festival.  

Nate’s background includes stints as an Editor in Chief for Odyssey Online based in New York City, and the Entertainment Editor for Siena Heights newspaper: Spectra. Currently, he’s the Film Critic for The Clinton Local (where he was nominated for Rookie Writer of the Year by the Michigan Press Association in 2018) and does freelance work for various independent outlets
