My name is Mikel Gojcaj and I’m honored to join MMCG, an opportunity that has been a meaningful, full-circle moment for me. My passion for art and creativity started way back when I was a kid after watching The Lion King for the first time, marking the beginning of all of the drawing, painting, writing, reading and creating I’ve done ever since. That artistic drive evolved throughout my school years, during which I performed in some plays and co-created, shot and edited student-news segments with my peers. My creative pursuits later led me to Oakland University’s BFA acting program, where I completed a year of theater training and earned performance credits in several stage productions, most notably Arthur Miller’s After the Fall, directed by Michael Gillespie. After later shifting my focus to a career in clinical psychology, I realized how naturally my background and experience informs my approach to cinema.
