Ernie Hudson to Host Ghostbusters Movie Event at Emagine Novi

Motor City Comic Con (MC3), Michigan’s largest and longest running comic book and pop culture convention since 1989, has announced that they will once again be partnering with Emagine Entertainment and will be hosting a special event of the 1984 movie, Ghostbusters at Emagine Novi, on Friday, May 17, 2024. Michigan native, Ernie Hudson, will make a special guest appearance and host a Q&A discussion before showing a free screening of the original Ghostbusters movie. Ernie Hudson is a Michigan native who was born and raised in Benton Harbor and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wayne State University.  Ernie is best known for his role portraying Winston Zeddemore in the popular film franchise, Ghostbusters. He can also be seen on screen in shows like The Family Business, Quantum Leap and L.A.’s Finest, and in films like The Crow, The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, and Miss Congeniality.

Ernie Hudson will be on-site at the Suburban Collection Showplace on Saturday May 18 and Sunday, May 19 signing autographs, taking photos, and meeting with Motor City Comic Con guests at the Suburban Collection Showplace is located at 46100 Grand River Ave. in Novi, Michigan. On Friday, May. 17, he will host the Ghostbuster Q&A panel and movie event at Emagine Novi.  Doors at Emagine Novi open at 7pm, with giveaways starting at 7:30pm with Ghostbusters Detroit, who will be on-site for this event.  The Q&A panel with Ernie Hudson begins at 8pm followed by a free showing of the movie.  Tickets to attend the Q&A panel are $40 and can be purchased in advance with admission to the Motor City Comic Con on their website.

Motor City Comic Con, one of the largest and longest running conventions in the Midwest, takes place yearly in both the Spring and the Fall at the Suburban Collection Showplace.
